| Eleven year veteran, Hara Greenberg, who has had a 30-year career as a server, said, “Peter keeps me here. He’s thoughtful, kind, good-hearted, easy to talk to and a nice man. When my mom and sister died, he was there for me. We make lots of friends from among our customers, young and old.”

| Shirley Gibson has been at The Continental since the day it opened. “I was so excited when he opened in Buffalo Grove. It’s like ‘Cheers,’ where everyone knows everyone’s name. I get attached to all the customers. I would feel lost someplace else.”

| Marissa Palmer plans to major in pre-med or psychology. What she loves the most is: “the quick pace and the regulars. Pete is almost like a father to me. I miss him when I'm not here.”

| Stacey Lepps, who is getting a master’s degree at NIU, likes working where she has loved to eat for years. She says she grew up at The Continental. “It feels like home--not my grandma’s kitchen, but close to it. The people who eat here are not just customers; they are family.”

| Cook Pedro Soto says that he loves his job and enjoys preparing all items on the menu.

| Wilebaldo Perez (Willy), who is responsible for all the popular soups, also enjoys working for Pete, whom he describes as “--a really nice guy.

| Israel Rios, who washes dishes, says he likes working for Pete--a man he describes as “a really nice guy.” Israel’s secret wish is to become a cook.
